Figured this was the most appropriate place to put this.
I just used the reconnect feature for the first time today. You know how everyone was saying it was like a Christmas present from Anet?
When I reconnected(had to restart my comp and the program), the symbol next to the paragraph (asking if I wanted to attempt to rejoin my group) was a red christmas present.

I heard getting drunk before a cutscene will result in players falling down repeatedly throughout the cutscene.

This is incorrect. The rune merchant will give whatever price is higher.
Ex 1: You have a superior rune of healing prayers. Price quote at Rune merchant says 3.5k. You use an id kit on it and it says that the gold value is 105. Rune merchant will still give 3.5k. The regular merchant will give 105.
Ex 2: You have a superior rune of fast casting. Price quote at Rune merchant says 100 gold. You use an id kit on it and it says that the gold value is 150. Rune merchant will now give 150 gold. Regular merchant will also give 150 gold.

Xunlai Agent is the only NPC that you can talk to, move away, and still be working with.
Unidentified armors are often worth more than the rune itself...If you get an unidentified armor, ID it, check the trader price for buying that armor, compare it to the ID'd armor price, see if it is worth salvaging.
|
The merchant windows work when you move away from them. Works for me most of the time though occasionally it won't and I'll have to open up the window again. I have noticed though that if you open up the merchant window, then move away, it will still work most of the time but then if you do anything involving the storage (ie opening storage, depositing/withdrawing gold, moving items in and out) will disable the trade window afterwards. I use this to quickly sell golds back to the merchant after transferring from other characters and iding them. I also use this when I'm trading materials. I'll open the materials trader window and then move to a more centrally located area in the town. This way, I can easily track the updated prices when selling or buying materials.
As for the armors being more than the rune, you can double dip. Salvage the rune out, id that, and sell both the rune and the armor (if it wasn't destroyed) back. This, of course, works better with higher levels in the chest and/or wisdom titles.

Some of these facts aren't USEFUL, but then again, what is the USE of playing Guild Wars at all? The same reason some of those facts are there: they interest us. Guild Wars isn't my diploma, it isn't my degree, it isn't my job, it's what I do for fun. Thanks for the free bump, even if your post wasn't exactly accurate or well thought out. Nice display of ignorance.

I was calm :D
I am usually calm, even if it seems like I am pissed off. During most "Arguments", I just try to prove a point. People think they are pissing me off, while in real life, I am laughing. I shouldn't have been so harsh in proving my point, though... those free bumps from complainers and responses are nice

I'm betting this could go another two pages with people who don't notice this is a necromancy piping in here to tell the OP that he's wrong about so many things.

Either that or how some of the things he's mentioned are almost common knowledge now.

But the IDS was blue, and was "perfect"... At the time it was a blue that had a req 9, max damage with 15^50 and could be modded. What's not perfect about that? Besides the color, you snobs.
And all the thread necromancy is Guru's fault for adding similar threads at the bottom. But you all know that. Learn to deal, or get rid of it.

Not only Gurus fault, many users will yell at someone to "use search!" but then get upset when someone necros a thread. Jerks...

At least in this case it was a good thread, still contains good information, and the Necromancer did it on purpose. There is no reason that new information could not be added and later people find the thread useful, I would even add that there are *still* a few things in that list that are relatively unknown. I would also add that it is probably better to rebirth this thread instead of simply starting a new one if you were wanting a "little known GW facts" thread. Probably too early to do so, but hey this *is* a community forum and only the mods can really say.
True high level thread necromancy is when someone points out that you can not use both Illusionary Weaponry and Hundred Blades at the same time as they are both elites. In this example the Thread Necromancer doesn't even remotely notice that the original post was from one of the beta's. The thread is reborn with no new information and, actually, confuses people who were not around from way back then - why is this idiot (a name they may even now recognize as a main GWG poster) complaining about it being unbalanced?

The tips on Team iQ's site are better, they have heaps of things not normally known about PvP.

Little know fact: Press M in game and click on the image of a ship. Some PvP players have discovered that there is another game hidden inside GW.
just kidding.

Did anyone mention how if you have high enough casting speed you can cast 1/4 second spells without stopping your emote animations.

The person should have created a new thread with a similar title. And the ranger shouldn't have posted a screenshot to stretch my page. D<

You shouldn't bump an incredibly old thread without at least having something useful to add.

I just want to mention you could do any emote and "skate" or do none at all and skate in Grotto before they removed it (worst nerf ever) by typing Q+W (or the other equivalent).
Also to spin around all you have to do is hold A and press ESC.
Also Rhedd I casted some 1/2 spells without even doing the casting animation for them. They were that fast. All that happens is the visual animation shows I can't even tell I've done anything usually haha.
